Paper Chain Challenge

This morning our class made classroom expectations.  All of the expectations had to do with being responsible, being respectful, etc. After making these expectations I gave the students a paper chain challenge.  Each pod or island of desks made up an individual team.  The rules of this challenge are listed below.  At the end of the challenge each group was asked to explain their thinking behind creating their paper chains with the rest of their classmates.  It was a great way for them to start to work together as teams.
